Project Overview
The Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Co. Ltd. (MPUDC) plays a pivotal role in the sustainable development of urban areas across Madhya Pradesh. It coordinates urban development activities and ensures that funds are released for projects that enhance the living conditions in urban local bodies (ULBs). One of MPUDC’s critical initiatives is the establishment of sewage treatment plants (STPs) to mitigate water scarcity, ensure clean water supply, and promote sustainable urban development.
GITEC-IGIP GmbH, an international consultancy firm specializing in cross-disciplinary development projects, provided consulting services for this project, ensuring a comprehensive approach to water management and urban infrastructure development.
Flowtech’s Contribution:
Flowtech Instruments was proud to contribute to this state-wide water management initiative by supplying 10 Electromagnetic Flowmeters of various sizes, ranging from 50MM to 450MM, for the 2.75MLD and 6.25MLD STP Package 4 project. These flowmeters were crucial for ensuring the precise and reliable measurement of sewage water flow across different treatment plants.
Considering the nature of the application, where sewage water contains heavy solid particles, Flowtech provided tailored solutions to enhance the durability and longevity of the flowmeters. The solutions included:
- PTFE Lining to withstand harsh sewage conditions and extend the lifespan of the meters.
- Hastelloy-C Sensing Elements to prevent corrosion and ensure reliable performance in the presence of corrosive substances.
